My great grandfather fought for the Confederacy, so I like the monuments. However, I understand how they might be offensive to black people and others. Therefore I suggest, if this is an issue, that a simple vote be taken and let majority rule. What IS important to me is that they be relocated to a national battlefield such as Gettysburg or Chickamauga. These parks are dedicated to the Civil War and are covered with monuments from both sides. This is the suitable place for these unwanted monuments. For example, monuments recently removed from New Orleans should be moved to the Vicksburg national Military Park.

Russian Billionaires Why don’t Russian billionaires spend their money on the needs of the Russian people, instead of laundering it into western banks? Surely there are poor people in Russia who could use a hand. An orphanage or a rural community on hard times. A bridge needed or a farm tractor somewhere. Russian Election Interference The US needs to retaliate against Russia for their interference in our elections. It needs to be a cyber action that is severe enough to make them stop any more interference. Problem is, our infrastructure is more thoroughly controlled by computers than theirs. Hydroelectric dams, power plants, factories etc. are connected to the internet using SCADA (System Control and Data Acquisition) software. This allows process computers, such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens, to be controlled over the internet. Plant Managers!
